Our Process

A Lifelong Approach

At Lifelong Investments LLC, we believe clients benefit from working with a financial advisor for the long-term. As the markets fluctuate and financial needs change, working closely with an advisor can help you stay on track as you pursue your goals - and adjust when the unexpected happens. While our approach is unique for each client, depending on their needs, we largely utilize a holistic five-step process:

Step 1: Discovery

Before we develop a strategy or plan, we take the time to get to know our clients, understanding their goals and where they see themselves five, ten, and twenty years down the road. During this first meeting, the client gets to learn more about our firm and what we can offer, and we learn about their current financial situation and future needs and objectives.

Step 2: Recommendations

Once we understand a client’s entire financial picture, we create a custom wealth management model that includes portfolio recommendations for the client’s overall assets. For clients within five years of retirement, we also develop an Income for Life model, which features strategies on how they can draw a lifetime income from their assets.

Step 3: Presentation

During a second meeting with the client, we present the recommendations, answering any questions they may have. During this phase, we also discuss their custom communication plan. We understand our clients have different needs; some want to work closely and meet regularly, while others would rather meet less frequently. Based on the client, we determine how frequently they want to meet and how often they’d like to hear from us, like receiving our weekly or monthly market newsletters.

Step 4: Implementation

Once we’ve discussed available opportunities and educated the client on the developed strategy, we implement their plan and, between one and two months after their accounts are established, we review to ensure their strategies are in place and discuss potential next steps for the next six months, including any adjustments or changes that may impact their assets or plan.

Step 5: Monitoring

Once a strategy is implemented, we proactively manage the client’s accounts. On a regular basis, we provide the client with timely updates on their accounts and market changes and hold annual strategy meetings.
